Now this is something I haven't done in ages, rant about organized religion, or in this case, a "way of life"
Getting rich takes a lot of hard work. Perseverance, integrity, intelligence and ambition are all commonly associated attributes to being successful and fairly wealthy, well, after accounting for a bit of luck too. However there seems to be a shorter and easier way of going about it.
Breaking away from the tried and tested and now fairly ancient method of actually working to become rich, the new method seems to involve "creating a new religion" or even in fact to include our Hindu brethren, a "way of living", yoga, ashrams and all the nonsense in the name of spiritual enlightenment.
The concept is simple.
We have to begin with a catch. WHY would anyone in their right minds give you their money? Simply telling them to will work, but that is only after we lay the ground work. The baby steps will necessitate some kind of catch which follows the classic "if you don't listen to me, baaaddd things will happen" plot.
Most models set up on this principle succeed right from the go and it's easy to see why. Let’s look at some of them that have done extremely well along with what they attempt to save you from.
Christians: Hell
Muslims: Hell
Judaism: Hell
Buddhism: Hell
Folk Religions: A mixture of hell and also real time punishments for evil acts.
Hinduism: Yourself, hell, karma, your evil next door neighbor, heck these people can even go after a dog that looks at you funnily on the street. More on this later.
Do you see a trend? I certainly do. Most if not all the old world religions thrive on the concept that if you make a man feel like he's doomed and you're his only way out, you've pretty much got him by the moneybags. Not to be outclassed, the new religions have included this as an essential part of their religion. Just a basic read of the principles and beliefs of Mormons, Scientology and all of the new age ones should easily confirm this.
Now that we have our catch in place, now that people know what exactly you're selling to them, you're off, time to find some followers.
Now rest assured, finding the first few is the tough part, but once you've crossed that one thousand mark, you'll be unstoppable. Know why? Cause people are idiots! That's why! Ever heard of herd mentality? Read it up! It’s a fascinating concept, especially in the hands of people who've realized the true power of it. People will do what they see people around them do, all they need is one really good testimonial, what did you think Islam and Christianity is based on?
Now lets be honest, if Christians believe they can actually and literally TALK with Christ and Muslims the same about their beliefs and lets assume we're all actually talking with our respective idols and deities, what a messed up world this must be and what a bigger mess heaven must be in.
Now we've got our followers, a stable system has to be effected in order to get that moolah flowing. So lets begin the construction of our first place of worship. How else will we siphon off funds! Also time to hire the best composers (from within our followers of course) to compose some music that subconsciously breaks down the mind enough to put them in a suggestible state to sink even deeper into your trap. NOTE: this music along with being a highly effective hypnotic chant HAS to also appeal to a wide demographic AND be aesthetically pleasing. A tough job, I'm sure, but once done just watch those followers multiply. Why does music play such an elemental role? Simple psychology, it's already shown how certain restaurants play certain kinds of music that can do everything from make you order expensive wine, to give your usually discerning self a backseat and drown a pitch or 3 of beer.
You're almost done. Now its time to sit back, enjoy the foot massages and the pampering that I'm sure the younger kids at your ashram find almost therapeutic and fun to do. That's because almost your entire audience right now is made up of subservient unthinking idiots not worthy of a million years of evolution. But hey, I'm sure you can try fun stuff like telling the kinds massaging your feet that they're going to hell if they don't do a good job. I mean you ARE the almighty's messenger and all that. People won't mind you openly dipping into the religion's "funds' too and even if you get caught, they're too invested now to even for a moment think that you could be a fraud. Heck, now that you're kind of rich, I'd even suggesting dumping the idiots you're with. Assign a higher level idiot to manage the lower ones, give him a nice fancy title and you're free to roam the world! It's the perfect vacation. Talk to idiots who'll buy everything you say for three hours and go sight-seeing for three days. Who really cares about the people back home, they weren't mean for greatness, and you were!
Now, and lets be really candid about this, there'll come a time where you're human urges will start acting up. You know that one urge you've been suppressing? Here's the good news, you don't have to anymore! Now your religion will cater to your every whim. I personally recommend staying far away from young boys as they do tend to squeal to their parents like I’m sure some very surprised priests found out. Also you may want to ensure you're completely brainwashed them before exposing your dirty parts to them. Sometimes they might not fully be convinced and you'll find yourself in a world of trouble like Swami Muktananda did. Or in the case of another religion, you should possible try to marry as many women as you can. You can easily pass it off as doing justice to the downtrodden women and attempting to give them a normal secure life.
That should do it. Your own Zombie army that feeds you, massages you, gives you money, heck even bends over backwards, forwards and every which way at just a nod of your head. Easy? Hell yes! If it wasn't, would there exist 22 "Major" religions in the world today?

Old age home/orphanage.
Now this may already be up and running in several places, I won't know for sure.
Where I come from, the city and the country, they concept of an orphanage and an old age home existing in the same complex is not unheard of, it just does not exist.
Now when you really consider it, the innocent children in the orphanage really require some sort of parental guidance or even real world advise.
The folks in old age homes are mostly unfortunate people well past their prime. People would absolutely love the opportunity to live and love again. To care for someone and be responsible for something. The major killer in an old age home isn't a disease, it may very well be the tendency to 'give up' when a person feels they have nothing to live for.
Children can do with a certain set of morals way before they're let to run around amok on the road. Morals that can't be expounded by nuns who probably meet the children once in two days.
I suggest the youngest members get the youngest children and so on. So that by the time we get to the really old folks, the responsibly slowly leans on the child.

Toying With Ideas/
I've been toying with a couple of ideas in my brain.
None feasible in the real world, most of them redundant and nonsensical.
I shall try to put down as many as I can assign proper words that sufficiently translate the language in my brain to a more coherent language for you to understand.
Be prepared for the outer workings of my mind.

Dear Desmond.. You're a slave..
Dear desmond.frias@virtual.com,
This is a message from the ITSupport.

is listed as a site within the category DatingAndMatrimonials
Current Internet Access Configuration does not allow you to visit sites within this category at this time.
ME: So I have no access to what I write and what is ideally a part of my brain..
The MAN: I’m sorry Desmond; I guess you weren’t as important as you thought you were.
Me: I’m on your side as far as blocking nonsense, I’d sign any petition you give me to not receive a brain numbing video of a monkey flinging poo or a supposedly ‘comical parody’ of a song I like.
The MAN: Ahh, you’re starting to see our point here.
Me: I was even open about the fact that that you thought Facebook would corrupt our work ethic and general decorum. I mean all people seem to do around here is tend to their farms.
The MAN: That WAS a bit odd. You completely missed the point though. Facebook privileges are taken away to break your spirit. The less time you spend on frivolous nonsense like virtually ‘poking’ people into a state of agitation, the faster you will realize that I own your ass. I always have, always will.
Me: Isn’t that just living in a state of disillusion? Owning people is passé and died out with the colonists. You can’t own people, heck, never their minds!
The MAN: Yea? See you not on facebook right now? Tried to access youtube and other rubbish to no avail? What else do you have to do? Im going to bore you into working. And when your spirit finally breaks with the barrage of work I throw at you, you’ll be hooked for life.
Me: What about blogger and google reader! Those aren’t nonsense, they help me express and grow as a person! I get to be abreast of happening all around the world and I get to explore a more philosophical side to myself, knowing myself better with each passing day.
The MAN: Boy really. Do you think I care about your personal growth! You’re just another slave! Slaves don’t get privileges! Slaves get no compassion! Slaves get no personal enlighten! SLAVES GET NO MERCY! They break mental bricks on ancient computers we provide. They’re not given faster processing lest they get accustomed to convenience! They’re given music privileges so that their minds are occupied and thus they remain in their state of lull and complacence forever!
Me: Fair enough. But riddle me this, why is google blogger listed in the category of Dating and Matrimonials?
The MAN: Err. Umm..

What We Deserve.
Standing by the sea shore,
Gazing into the horizon, i think of all the moments i lost.
Lost forever with my unwillingness to step out of the boundaries of my comfort zone.
For this world, its all about what makes us feel secure. Everything we say, do, feel all has to be digested in a way that is acceptable and understood by our selves.
For anything that isn't understood is feared and hated.
The true question here is that are we really hating the other entity for being different from us or are we really hating a part of our self that is so hard coded by years of mundane living that we find it seemingly impossible to change. Are we not truly hating this extension of our personality that says, i want to be there, i want to think that and yet, i simply cannot! how dare he!
We do crazy things,
We let our lives marinate in a soup of problems namely because we scared of the grass beyond our own rusty fences.
Our insecurities confine us to dead-end jobs, horrendous relationships, uninspiring and sometimes potentially dangerous living conditions.
How do we break free? Its simple, we simply should want to, bad enough.
Did you ever want anything so bad, that the universe just had to work its way around you? That's not really the universe at play, its all the power of you.
Believe that what you want, you deserve.
You deserve it because you are a beautiful person, inside and out.
you do not deserve anything less than average. Average here not being horrible mind you..
Average being a state in which comfortable survival is possible..
True change is only possible when we we honestly believe that we deserve it.

Being Strong
Know what defines character? Strength.
Strength in its purest form..
Strength NOT to conform to the norm..
Strength to BELIEVE in yourself despite the world have written you off.
Strength to STAND UP for you believe..
Many undervalue the importance of strength. Simply visualizing your dreams or plans don't depict or determine anything, your character is really defined by how you use these aspirations and how it transcends into your practical life..
What weighs a person down to NOT actually seeing through what he's planned is only weakness..
Weakness in the mind or body that is often the result of years of mental conditioning/torture
What is that one thing you've always wanted to do, say or achieve?
And what really stops you from doing it?
Once you've deciphered these two pre-requisites, you're surely along the way to personal enlightenment and growth..

Staring into Oblivion.
The pointlessness of life often brings a selected few to the point of an epiphanic moment which tags with it the self destructive question, "where do I go from here".
Now that I know how truly purposeless life is, how do i live it.
The religiously inclined have it easy. This life is only a passage. A passage that is detrimental to where your spiritual self ends up after it leaves your mortal confines.
Lets level the playing field in the spirit of argumentation.
For a moment, just for a brief one, imagine, as it were, there were no GOD.
what then? what then are we truly living for? Fulfilling our altruistic tendencies? Ones that only came about AFTER civilization?
Is it to life a good clean life? Not indulge our senses to the fullest? WHY did we evolve to have them then!
The dichotomy in our life is very evident.. We don't exactly serve any purpose here. We're not going anywhere from here. Might as well make the most of our time here.
Now where does religion fit in here? Religion gives hope of a rosy afterlife in the case of us being good. er.. It isn't all that hopeful a place for the less than perfect..
For the rest of us, life is simple. try to live it with too much complication, it will be the meanest mistress you've ever seen. But life a simple life, fulfill all your senses. Experience everything she has to offer and she will reward you with a lifetime of experiences.
Honestly, I'd rather have non existence after a well lived life than live eternally looking down from the heavens at people living the way I wished I had..

So we do what we do…
Aren’t we all supposed to know what we want? I mean what we want from life. What we want from our selves! And yet, with every passing day we only show a heightened sense of confusion prevalent amongst the best of us..
Every new day we make new choices for ourselves that we on most occasions make to the best of our conscience. Where am I getting with this? We all regret the choices we make.. What then allows us to make these horrible choices that we know we’re going to regret! Emotion? Mental incapability? Nope.. Just plain stupidity. The ‘What If’ factor I call it.. We all like to tempt fate.. Cause lives too normal my average Joe reader, we all try to make it a bit more interesting by adding the freak factor in..
So what do you do when staring with options? You chose the most insane one, that’s what you do! But you’re brain makes up a whole back story for you wherein you had no other choice really.. That truly becomes the only choice you ever had to begin with.. Yes Mr Officer, I swear, Im not drive while drunking my truck!!
How do you make choices more in line with whats good for you? Im sorry, you don’t.. Cause if you do that, what will the new onslaught of reality shows feed off? What will office gossip groups do without you! What other reason will your parents/children have to hate you?
So go! Go forth onto the world my stupid children! Make this world a better place.. One stupid act at a time..

The thin red line.
There’s a very obvious line dividing the mental cases from the obviously religious ones. Or is there? Already the topic of various courses, lectures, stand up comedies, err. . So one’s mans god is another man’s schizophrenia.. Strange, I was remember being told as a child, if I stayed really quiet and listened intently; I would hear the voice of God, or of his angels. I never did.. But that’s ok. He was probably busy with other things, like telling someone in Afghanistan to blow up a school that taught modern values like equality to women.
Now im not saying the main man is the one to blame, not fully. He can’t be fully blamed for the idiots running around poking each other with toothpicks in his name.. But can’t he accept a little of the blame? Isn’t he big enough for that? Imagine you created this world, ok, chuck that, Imagine I created this world. And the world got this far, with the same conditions as is now.. people were running around killing each other, healing each others, touching each other, yea I see you Benny hinn!! You get off him! Anyway, if I saw all that happening, I’d make my displeasure known! By stuffing a grenade up Osama’s butt.. and another one up Mr Bush.. But do you see that happening?
Am I to believe that someone who created us, that some of us sing and dance for, has fallen so off his game that he doesn’t care what we do anymore? (Ohh please let this not attract any Jesus nuts, I mean GOD in the broader sense.. you know, Allah, Krishna, Buddha, Yahweh the whole shebang)
If god is anything like the kinda god I’d be, he probably lived as a mortal called Elvis Presley and now he’s vacationing in Acapulco..

Time Wasted...
Writing a blog is such a waste of time..
Talk about a paradox..
People blog about critical and important issues that need to be highlighted in today's fast paced world. Concerns that would otherwise go unnoticed by general population.
But who bothers actually reading these blogs? only the aware few.. The people meant to be targeted have and always will remain in darkness, unaware of the chaos created by their indifference and in most cases lack of knowledge of this medium.
Feel the sena is too harsh? want to blog about it? who's life will that impact? unless you are a Bachan or a khan, no one.. And when you are either one, you stay away from unpolitical statements like that..
trying convincing a religious person that most of his 'traditions' and 'customs' have arose from a basic need to control people and suited the lifestyle in the time 'before Christ'. Try telling him laws determined by any organized religion are archaic and that his women need not roam around wearing black cloth to cover up their modesty. Do you honestly think such a person will ever change his mind after reading one blog?
We talk about things like protecting the environment and saving our planet. Do you honestly believe that people (In India)will even stop littering after being 'inspired' by your 'touching' blog?
Why then do we yet pour out our hearts through the medium of the internet! Is it just a needy want to be heard by people?
Actually it is the hope that some humanity still exists in this artificial society..
We don't really aspire to change any minds right away.. just instilling a seed of doubt suffices in our eyes.. Yes we want to change mindsets.. one idea at a time..

Freedom of thought?
I want to believe.. I really do.
Belief in today's world is liberty.. liberty from free thought..
Freedom is highly overrated.. Do we rally want to make our own decisions?
Belief in religion creates a sense of security.. A sort of safety net so that we feel loved and wanted, that too by someone who is powerful enough to meddle in our everyday lives in way we cannot yet fully comprehend..
Belief in society leads us to accept a sense of brotherhood and altruism.. These might not exist in a free world but believing that they exists is really more important than they really existing.
Believing in true love.. *sigh. True love that lasts forever. .
Cause we'll mentally remain the same people we are until the day we die.
I Want to Believe..
Because belief IS freedom. .

What makes us tick..
Life is beautiful.
What makes it so? Living up to the ideals we set..
how do we form these ideals and notions of what/how we want our life to be?
Experiences mostly.. and for the impressionable few, media and peer groups etc.
So we mostly live to satisfy a want that is, at its very essence, a 'created one'.
Very man made..
How then can we quantify whether we're truly living life the desirable way?
Happiness is a good quantifier i hear you say...
Who among us though, is truly happy..
Note, this isn't the the kind of happiness derived from materials acquisitions.
For those of you that fall under the above mentioned category, get a life.. seriously.. Like go right now..
For the ones that equate happiness with a state of mind and being, a state of no worries or problems, welcome to the unending pursuit of happiness.
You will go through a series of life changes in your pursuit for the ultimate state of bliss..
Cutting out dependency on material possessions so as to not get chained down to anything..
Cutting out dependency on other people, people are known to offload their own set of problems on to you thus weighing your own baggage down..
Cutting out dependency of every sin mentioned in the great seven.
Thereafter you will achieve an ultimate state of nirvana..
Upon which, you'll realized that you've already been hard-coded by years of societal living.. You can never escape dependency on other people or of emotions.. damn that lust.. You can never escape dependency on gadgets. Computers, internet, music players..
We're doomed to an existence of mediocrity. Wherein we want the perfect happy existence but cannot move our fate even an inch from its destined path inorder to get it..
What is the point then.. What is the point of our existence when we know that will never, READ:NEVER, be completely free of problems.. Or do we want to regurgitate some random psychotic nonsense about excepting the good with the bad., a life without sorrows being bland and how we need problems to keep us sane and thinking.. people almost fear a life of only happiness.. seems to good to be true..
What about heaven then? won't you get bored there? won't you never be challenged by any problem, that was supposed to see you rising above it through strength and becoming a better person for it? OR does heaven provide an endless supply of dopamine to keep you numb and marinating in memories of your past life forever..
Deep down, I live in hope of a time where problems cease.. where I'll be happy all day long.. where I'll give up material possessions, friends and my past life..
I just hope at this time, my friends manage to drag me into a rehab in time..

Religion: An informed Choice..
We are but a product and result of choice.
Our existence is often incorrectly attributed to chance only, choice had, infact, a major role in shaping how we emerged as the leading species on earth.
We exercise, through freewill, choice, on a daily basis.
What we wear, eat, do, is all in a way a resultant from our experiences, but the end point being, we have the power to choose to not act a certain way, not eat certain things and not wear specific clothes/colors.
WHY then, must we not exercise this choice when it comes to the one and probably ONLY factor that majorly shapes the way we make decisions and live our lives?
Im talking about religion.
If you think you've chosen your religion, you're probably wrong.
Have you really?
Inorder to have chosen the religion you're in, you would, by definition, need to know about the alternatives, else, your choice would be the result of incorrect/incomplete information.
Most of us follow the religion of our parents. A generation that was brainwashed into a false sense of security and complacence.
But today, we're in the information age, where every bit of knowledge is available at your fingertips.
Why then do we subscribe blindly to a religion without studying what we could've been? Because you parents say so? because else, you wouldn't fit into your existing social circles anymore? is that honestly a good enough reason?
You could secretly be a Buddhist or a sun worshiper, but for the knowledge of the religion. How many of you know enough to judge or even talk about another religion? Islam, hinduism and christanity.. Does the general population know anything apart from these religions? Religions that sometimes even predate all these by thousands of years...
Even as a consumer buying a product that would not last forever, you check for alternatives and best prices. But it is indeed sad many of us settle for the first religion, often one that we will remain faithful to forever, to comes our way without checking for alternatives first..

Relationships are messy.. Bewarned.. Yet..
We're all born innocent..
Born into a world that's anything but.
true, we make the best of it, losing a little of our innocence at every stop. The more stops you make, the higher you go..
Gosh I remember being small.. Such an uncomplicated life we lead then..
Who knew it would get this messed up.
But do you know whats really messed up? Complicated lives are optional..
We all are fully aware of how much we opt for.. yet, like bugs to a light..
Know what is really messy? Relationships..
Think of a life that is practical to the core..
Sure mainstream media will lead you to believe we're all societal beings that cannot function without any non-practical relationships.
But ponder over it for just a minute...
Relationships not based in practicality are just plain messy.. they almost never go they way you intend.
As children we all thought life would be a breeze.. Ahh well.. little did we know.
What changed? We grew up in a rosy land of fairy tales and stories..
and suddenly were ripped almost brutally from the cozy womb of lullaby land and thrown into the pit of the brutal practical world..
Its about time we faced the facts.. We live in a world not that dissimilar to the matrix..
We're here as a result of evolution. That almost cuts out the possibility of us having a pre-planned end game or a 'destiny' if you will..
that would make our only purpose here, to further propagate our current species until the need to further evolve arises. And also to progress as a species, effectively cutting out any room for 'emotional' entanglements..
Every action performed in the name of 'emotion' has practical reasoning to it. well almost all. Everything we do in a relationship, we do because of practical purposes. Right from being selfish to being caring to the eternally complicated mind games revolving sex.. Many books on the subject will more than prove my point.
What am i getting at?
All im saying is, identify which of our relationships have practicality deeply embedded in them.. Those are your lasting ones.
and lastly, please don't subscribe to the propaganda sold to you by various forms of media.. Don't let a few people with journalism/media degrees influence the way you think..
If not believing in non-practical relationships makes me shallow, then there exists an urgent need to re-define what being 'shallow' means..

Questions from a child - Part 1
"What do YOU think happens when we die?" inquired the child.
"They've taught us at sunday school" he continued "that when we die, our souls depart from our body and go to heaven"..
"What do you think?" replied the older man seated next to him.
"Well" began the boy, "I'd like to think that's true. Teacher tells me heaven is a nice place filled with all the people who have been nice here on earth"
"Nice on earth?" questioned the older gentleman suddenly intrigued.
"Yes" said the boy after much thought. "If we're nice, we're sent to heaven"
"Did she tell you what heaven is like?"
"Yes" said the boy. "She said heaven was filled with wonderful things and is a place that fulfills your every want by you just thinking it"
The old man pondered over this information for a minute. "What happens if you're bad then?"
"Well, I guess you'd then be sent to hell, where you spend all eternity"
"So" replied the old man, "If I understand you correctly, If I am bad in this life, I'll spend an eternity in a torturous place"
"Yes" replied the boy with certainty.
"And who may I ask judges if Ive been good or bad? God?"
"Well teachers told me that at the gates of heaven sits Saint Peter with a log of our good and bad actions. And if the bad ones outweigh the good, we're sent to hell"
"I see" "So people who steal, kill are sent to hell?"
"Yes and so are the people who lie, do not maintain sunday as a holy day and even people who dishonor their parents, there's a set of rules in the bible, it is called the ten commandments, i just learned them a month ago" said the boy proudly.
"You're quite smart" said the old man. "If you know the rules, its easy not to break them isn't it?" "By the way" he said "have you read the new Testament of the bible?
"Not yet, teacher says we have to understand the old fully before moving onto the new"
"well" said the old man "the new testament is very interesting, it says that Jesus, who was the son of god, loves sinners"
"What? really? does it really say that?"
"yes, he loves sinners because it is them who can repent and go to heaven. He even died for the sins of mankind"
"Died for, um, our sins?"
"Yes. He died and thereby forgave the sins of all mankind"
"So people from hell were able to go to heaven?"
"well no, its not that easy. Let me just say, their sins were forgiven"
"By whom?" questioned the boy..
"well, by God" replied the man.
"What about the people who were sinned against? people who lost family because of murders and people whose things were stolen? don't they have to forgive the sinners too?"
"Well yea" said the old man thoughtfully.
"So Jesus died, to forgive the sins of people, committed against other people who haven't really forgiven them and the sinners couldn't even make it to heaven?"
"well, when you put it that way, I guess you could say that"
"Ok" replied the boy not really satisfied with all that he had learned.
"What about hell then?" questioned the boy after much thought. "If we're forgiven for all our sins and jesus loves sinners, who goes to hell?
"Its complicated" said the old man. "First off, people who do not believe in our god go to hell, but you already know that"
"Just for not believing in god?"
"Yes, well, God punishes all non believers"
"But people who sin and kill others, if they repent, I mean, teacher says, if we repent and feel sorry for our sins, we'll go to heaven"
"Yes" said the old man. "Repentance is the way to heaven"
"So" replied the boy, "I can kill a person, repent and go to heaven, but if I live as a nice person, only, don't believe in god, I go to hell?"
"That's what the Bible says" replied the man
"Ok" replied the boy again, this time unhappy with the realizations dawning on him.

Look before you leap..
People are complicated..
I know very well that what I've just typed isn't ground breaking information and it isn't going to change anyone perceptions about generally anything..
It seems to be common knowledge amongst humanity as a whole..
I mean we've grown up watching tons of movies where the protagonist is a person of a deep personality.. Not easily deciphered.. Even in the case of seemingly simple straightforward characters like Forrest Gump..
Even movies targeting children (like Shrek) tell us that people have layers.. much like an onion.. Or cake.. That taking a person at face value will result in you missing out on the bigger picture.. That misjudging a character's personality in the beginning of a movie will result in shock when he is later uncovered to be the murderous butler..
Yet..
Yet we throw all that out of the window and jump to our own conclusions about people.. Is it in our DNA to do so? I don't yet know, but we do nevertheless.. We often jump to rash and mostly incorrect conclusions based on our immature first impressions of the people we meet.
but it isn't only restricted to first impressions?
Have you even confronted anyone about the reason for a particular action? An action perhaps that you didn't quite appreciate? before speaking to the person about it, you will have already formulated a supposed reason for it before you even confront the person..
let me reiterate my initial statement..
people are complicated.. and deserve a chance to defend themselves against any action if they so choose so.. and even if they do not wish to make clear their original intention, it shows a character flaw within the person that would rather speculate than give the person the benefit of doubt.
The next time you feel badly about the actions of someone, Stop and think not about why he would act that way.. instead think of how small it would make you look to feel bad about just a speculation formed in your curious mind..

Sharing a part of yourself.... Should you?
Now I'm a reserved person, you don't really need to be exceptionally perceptive to know that.. I respect the life and privacy of others and never intrude.. Is it really that tough for other people to do the same? Right now it doesn't seem so bad, so far so good right?
what about later?
why do i need to share personal things with anyone? why is being a social recluse a bad thing? is it because society as a whole is scared of people that they cannot keep tabs on? people with the need for personal space are treated like bad apples..
so what if i don't want to come for your religious laced social gathering, why am i any less of a human being because of it?
in a marriage, it is considered, well, bad isn't the ideal word here, so I'll say, not desirable, to keep 'secrets' from your 'better?' half.. why is that? does being married rob you of your personality? Of late an increasing number of married (and also people generally in relationships) people have begun question their partners about seemingly trivial things.. where are you going? why are you going there? what will you do there? A sense of trust that seem to exist in relationships a couple of generations back seems to be fast vanishing into a cloud of mistrust and suspicion.
A common factor that results in a couple visiting a marriage counselor is "he/she wont share her feelings with me"
What IS this need to completely 'know' someone! you do realize that you'll never really 'know/understand' anyone.. i can attribute the shock of the failed relationship to the grieving partner once thinking they had fully understood their significant other. "he cheated on me! *sob and i thought i knew him!"
Really!! are the majority of you nervous because you don't get along with yourself? is that why loners are subjected to harsh stares at restaurants when they attempt to have a quiet peaceful meal by themselves? or why a single person in a concert/theater is given a look of pity/sympathy as if to denote that he was stood up by someone?
modern science is gradually, with all its technology creating the perfect world where everyone is slanting towards being a little dissocial.. at the same time, it is constantly categorizing us into new mental diseases that seems bent on convincing us that we're all a little less that your average societal alpha man.. we're grouped into mental illness like the one mentioned above "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antisocial_personality_disorder#Diagnostic_criteria_.28ICD-10.29_-_dissocial_personality_disorder.E2.80.8E" and we're told that one in five people have a mental illness of the like..
its sad that when most people don't even get along with themselves and cant even spend a day with only themselves for company, they strangely expect you to do so..

Nothing..
Wow.. Its been a while since Ive been here.. And for good reason.
Nothing new to write about..
I mean, we all know that our problems are all petty when viewed from a third persons eye..
we know that we should NOT let a relationship be any indication of us as people and of our personality..
we know that any problem can be solved by talking it out.. As long as you have the power of negotiating..
we know that our beliefs are ruining the planet.. well some of us do anyway..
yet we constantly, whether consciously or not, seek pity from others.
Pity and approval..
Why do YOU care? why DO you care?
what difference does it make if one more person out there has a negative impression of you? are you forever going to try to fit into preset moulds? that is the only surefire way to be accepted..
Why are people who drink, smoke and dope said to be doing a bad/negative/evil thing?
Boohoo you shouldn't eat this and you shouldn't be doing that..
Its like a constant attempt on our part to try and get into this huge fraternity we call 'society'.. only we all pale when compared to the absolute.. the perfect societal man... who exists only in our minds and text books..
most of our basic freedoms have been revoked by we ourselves..
yet instead of attempting to make a change, we go about indulging the very system that has a foot holding us down.
Remember, we're only as free as we realize we are..

Time After Time...
Do you ever wondered what life would be like in slow motion? Do you think we'd have a sudden respect for the nitty gritty aspects of life we often take for granted? Personally, I'd like to know what life felt like slowed down, with a good soundtrack throw in for good measure.. Life imitating art, to use that old clinker..
Days move fast.. way too fast for us to realize the true practical value of them.. Time flies when you're having fun? i don't for a second doubt it..
Days gone back will never return.. many of us spend hours staring into the looking glass at images of our fruitful pasts. we just can't let it go, not even if we wanted to..
Quarter life crisis.. Greatly underestimated.. keep hearing comparisons from elders about how we're losing it.. I mean the term didn't even exist when they were still fooling around..
Having an end plan.. too over hyped.. its a pity that you have to either conform or be shunned.. bend or break they tell me.. its a little late now huh? rebellion has already been hard wired into some of our systems..
Playing the game is easy.. It all depends on how you want your prize.. cash or kind..
Manipulating people is easy too, depending or how heavy you want your emotional baggage to be.. you'll never fly with too much you know..
None of us have the right to say that their life isn't going according to plan, because we're all capable of changing our life.. your job and relationship problems aren't what you should be losing hair over.. Stick around, the big guns are about to be unveiled.
People want to make mountains of molehills.. Correction, they do not 'want' to as much as they 'have' to... exaggeration is part of life..
So spare me the gory details of your past relationships, addictions and other problems, you know that you're only as strong as you want to be..
Emotions cloud all our judgments.. urge people to fly off cliffs and try to take on trains.. yet we'd rather be fooled by them time again instead of getting the upper hand of things..
Our lives would make a pretty interesting soap opera to extraterrestrial secretly monitoring our planet..

C'est la vie... OR is it?
Ever felt you were in the wrong place at the wrong time?
I wake up with the feeling everyday..
Its a weird deja vu involving me living the same day over and over albeit wearing different clothes..
Picture me standing me in a spot, with the days and nights whizzing past me while i go through a series of clothes and hairstyles..
Did you get what I'm talking about?
OF course not..
We have no time to analyze our own life, let alone bother with someone else.
We're all running around in a little exercise wheel, i mean they don't call it a rat race for nothing..
Wake up, work, try to make the most of your evening, sleep, do it all over again..
Wash, rinse, repeat..
some people manage to fit a drink in there somewhere and call it a life..
Is this really why we evolved? to become a slave to ourselves? to live a life of routine and monotony? To earn money to be able to spent it on items and material goods the idiot box says we need?
We work hard, um, hardly work? nope, i think its work hard,
so yea, we work hard, to save up, to go on holiday/vacation, to get away from our work related stress..
Or let me put it this way,
We work hard, to party hard/get drunk/buy the best appliances to divert our mind from the fact that we work hard!!
Some of us do enjoy our job.. You lucky lucky bastards.. Hidden inside every one of the rest of us however is our dream job..
Me? I have a list of dream jobs, none of them practical.. Don't ask, don't tell..
Anyway, since this was originally supposed to have been a rant, I'll cut it short and abruptly end here.
